We are proud to be the home of The Dr. Irving A. and Ruth Hokin Keshet High School, offering adapted academics and therapies for teenage students, grades 9-12, with special needs.
All Academy students interact informally with Keshet students on a regular basis, in assemblies and special all-school programs, in classes, in the halls and during lunch. Several students also formally work with Keshet students as peer buddies, choosing set times each week to socialize and work together or eat together during lunch.
Inclusion and peer mentoring is an asset not only to the Keshet students, but also to ICJA students. In addition, the Gershon Family Peer Mentor Scholarship Award provides a scholarship gift each year to a senior at Ida Crown Jewish Academy who demonstrates outstanding service in the Peer Mentoring program.
